About the Director
Kelly (Stocke) Carson took over as director in 1995 when Marcia Cuzzo retired after 35 years of teaching. Kelly has 41 years of dance experience and has taught dance to all ages for 24 years. She attended UMD where she received a BAS degree in Elementary Education. Her training includes tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop and lyrical dance. She also continues to further her dance education by attending workshops.
Kelly has been a member of the Motion Choir, a Christian dance group, since it was started in 1984. Kelly is a committed Christian and has been involved in several different Bible Studies. She has choreographed several of the Motion Choir dances. These dances are not just movements put together by a trained dance teacher, but an expression of praise and worship to a loving God.
Angela Larson is excited to be joining the Cuzzo Stocke Dance Studio as a teacher. Angela has 12 years of dance experience in various styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, modern, ballroom and hip hop. She received a BFA in musical theater with a minor in dance from the University of Minnesota Duluth, and has also had the privilege of choreographing for church and school productions in the area.
Angela has enjoyed dance immensely in the past, though she has stepped back in recent years to care for her young children. But now, she looks forward to dancing once more as she embraces the opportunity to pass on a love of dance, and the desire to honor God through dance, to the students of the Cuzzo Stocke family.
